Since 1998, an average of 38 babies have died every year, as a result of being left in the back of a car on a hot day.
Most have simply been victims of an unsuspecting parent who popped into local supermarket or hardware store and simply forgot the baby and left them to suffer from heat exhaustion or dehydration and in some cases – die as a result of being in an extremely warm environment.
